Ok so all the wiring diagrams i have seem to say that there is only one speaker up front, i have one in the dash and 2 in each front door. and currently all three in the front left are not making any noise, if i run wire strait from the head unit to one of them i can get them to work. I'm wondering if anyone knows how it the three of these are wired? Does the head unit run strait in to the power amp? or does it go through the speaker in the dash and then to the power amp?

If your system is the same as my '86 then the wire runs from the radio into the crossover in the front door, then to door and dash speakers. I'm not sure of any power amp. Are you adding an amp. If so go from radio to amp to crossover then to speaker. If you wire the speakers direct you will blow the tweeters and lose that amazing clearity.
Have you had sound from the left speakers before? If not check wiring in door jamb and then in the door by the window track. If the wires were pulled from the loop fasteners they can be cut by the window track.
My '88 had no sound from either speaker in the rear deck lid. As odd as it seems both rear speakers were bad. I reused the wiring. Hope this helps.
