The B7 RS 4 with 420 hp could achieve 0-60 in 4.2 seconds. I expect the best time for the B8 S4 in magazine testing to be about 4.7-4.8 seconds, about a half second better than Audi's official number.

I dunno... For a 0-60 time, you need to start at zero don't you? Looked like he was rollin' at 30 to me. before he hammered it. Still sweet though.

Have become B8 owner recently - am not veteran expert on such cars but 'luv' this machine in everything I've eseen / experienced so far - but 0 to 60 in 4.2sec !!....similar to other feedback can't buy it? As noted it seemed not to start on a roll, further more camera was on the cluster from start to finish...can acceleration time be influenced much by downhill run for example?;-) Any experinced opinion on that?

Lot of things will affect times:
-rubber/temperature/grade/altitude/age of vehicle and of course driver

Personally, it doesnt make sense to punish your car every time you come to a stop by dumping the clutch.

This thing is plenty fast for the street.
