Hey fellas,

I was wondering if anybody knows or had the same problem I did when I first bought my car (about a year ago). I haven't really experienced it recently, but I know for sure it has happend. A couple times after driving the car with about 1000 - 2500 miles while it was parked in my garage, I heard a continuing beeping sound coming from the engine. I popped the hood a couple of times but I couldn't pinpoint it. Brought it to the dealer and they told me they have no idea. It sounds like its coming from underneath the carbon fiber compartment.

Does anyone have any idea what this is or has this happend to you?

Your wife/girlfriend is seeing someone else, you have a sizable life insurance policy, and a bomb is about to detonate next time you start the car! LOL

Not sure what that is based on your description. If it is not throwing a code and the dealer has no clue, and most importantly it hasn't resurfaced, I wouldn't worry about it.

Could it be a warning chime off the cabin that you are picking up from the hood because the audible sensor is there? Just a thought.

I think I have had this too, but it sounded like a whistle, like the fuel pressure regulator or something. Every minute or so, a quick high pitched sound. I have only heard it once. I have never had a genuine problem with the car, so I never followed up.

I also thought fuel pressure being released as soon as I read this. My Ducati Hypermotard does it all the time. Maybe the valve opening is just right for making a beeping sound...

I'll listen out for it coming from the car.
