Extra ponies courtesy of dual intakes and throttle bodies, better exhaust and tuning. Supposedly this can be accomplished due to more room in the engne bay

R8 Engine has Dual Intakes and Throttle Bodies and a better exhaust header design
Why does it still only make 420 HP? I remain skeptical. Something else has been done to the engine, IMO.

Disappointing.....I'm thinking...450hp...sure...just like the RS4 is 420(414). We'll see, but I certainly was hoping for the V8TT.
ummmm...what to replace the RS4 with in a year.......

All spec at this point until Audi announces something official. My bet is N/A, not a V8 T/T or otherwise blown. The NA V8 450hp makes sense. After all, a Milltek and Revo flash have proven to add 15-20 whp (30 crank), so that would make the current RS4 engine a guestimated 450 crank. Add better breathing and you can see Audi being able to 'sqeeze' a few extra ponies.
Any forced induction on the V8 would push the RS5 in M6 pricing category (100K+) which I think neither nor consumers are willing to absorb.
