Had to have my front and rear bumpers re-sprayed as the factory paint was starting to peel off both bumper covers. While that was being done I pulled the headlights and clear cornered them and painted the inside chrome piece black. Also had the reflectors painted to match.

Unfortunately the front bumper color doesn't quite match, so it's going back on Monday to have the front bumper re-sprayed. Interestingly the rear bumper is a perfect match. They will also line up the front bumper better after re-spraying it.

Hi John! Nice clean look! I just wanted to ask you too...is there a DIY thread for clearing out the headlights? I did it before on my STi but I'm not sure how it goes with the Audis'. Any precautions or tips on doing it? Thanks! Sorry if I'm too lazy to search. :)

I followed Eddie Man's instructions - especially the 150 degrees for 5 minutes. The glue didn't get gooey or messy like I've heard when you heat them at higher temps.

Looks good but the color definitely seems to be off. It would drive me nuts if the colors mis-matched like that on my car. Hopefully you aren't cringing like me and are satisfied :o

Unbelievable...why can no one paint cars properly? To paint the bumper, they need to blend into the fenders and hood. Clearly not done here, which is almost academic because the paint mix is off.

I've been using the same paint shop for 21 years and although they cost about 15% more than local hacks, I've never, EVER had an issue and we've painted a dozen cars there, not to mention fixing boo boos. Never had a flaw, ever.

Headlights look great.
