It appears that the new R15 had best add wins to it's record before it becomes outdated. Here's the latest from Peugeot which was released on Friday, 20 March. In 2011 the R15 will already be over half-way into the typical normal three year life span of most race cars. Perhaps Audi is already working on something. It will be most interesting to also follow the progression of the LMP1 Porsche (rumored for 2010) too.

Peugeot confirms 2011 LMP1 programme with all new hybrid

Peugeot Sport is already well advanced on its 2011 LMP1 programme. Development on the current 908 HDI FAP has already been stopped to allow Peugeot Sports engineers to focus on the new 909 HY design. The future of the current 908 is unclear beyond Le Mans this year where the result is critical. Right now they said our problem is what to do in 2010, we will be back in 2011 with the new car and we are working hard on that already. The 908 HY was a demonstrator and because the regulations are not good at the moment it is sat in the garage and not being used.

More details regarding the Pugeot 2011 programme and prospects for 2010 are to appear soon.
