Anyone ever install the Video/Navi kit on the A5 S-Line? I just wanted to know where the MMI Brain is, i ripped the dash apart and can't seem to find it. I just got the kit and need to locate it.

Do you have the nav package? If so the main components are in the left side of the trunk (same general location as on the A6 and A8).

I do have the Navi Package. It's on the left side (Driver's Side) of the trunk?

lol, the compartment on the left inside your trunk is where the navigation system sits. If you want to play video on your screen there is third party device out there which will go in your glove box. It will convert signal from DVD player to your navigation screen. Connector for that thing is somewhere behind the glove box.

My goodness... isn't this something you ought to have found out before you ripped the dash apart???

that's where the NAV drive is. the MMI module is usually behind the glove box.

So where is the MMI? Glove box or driver's side trunk?

Has anyone ever installed one on an Audi?

It needs nav. Long story short, cars without nav have a system that resembles MMI but does not actually have the MMI hardware.

Ok, would it be possible to install an aftermarket video player and use the screen just as monitor?
