from an acquaintance who needs cash. Pros? Cons? Also a Romanian AK-47. What's a fair price? Everything is in premo condition. Thanks for any help.

Ask yourself when "zombie attacks" occur and whether you'd want to count on eating enough carrots, highlight yourself with a flashlight, or have the advantage of a system that is dual IR or light image intensification capable. At the very least, it can be used for eliminating critters threatening our garden or animals at night.

You know how few bought gold in 2001, shorted the market at the end of 2007, and unloaded unnecessary real estate. Look at the thinning margin of grain surpluses, the coinciding areas of historical drought with the highest producing agricultural areas, diminishing amount of arable land, increasing desertification, swelling population, increased control of seed by a few key players like Monsanto, proliferation of GM hybrid seeds and their multiple problems, legislation being pushed forward to make seed production and processing so onerously encumbered by regulation that most farmers will chose not to do it, etc., etc., and ask yourself about how secure your food supply is. That area should be included among "future security" issues.

The regular WASRs are bottom of the barrel IMO.

FWIW, the ITT goggles are probably the best you can buy. They make a lot of the components for other companies as well.

ITT also makes Koni shocks so that should give you a real world example of the product standards they adhere to.

http://www.nightvision.com/</a
