I was supposed to pick my car up yesterday, but the dealer calls me and says that replacing the amp did not completely fix the issue. He then goes on to tell me that when the amp went out, it must have sent too much voltage/power to the two channels located in the panels between the B and C pillars causing them to blow. Long story short I'm sure I have the happiest tint guy around right now. Supposedly the two speakers and install are another 700 bucks, which will bring the total tab to a little over 2k.

at the dealer any longer being it had already been there for 3 days. He went ahead and paid the charge for the amp, for the dealer wouldn't have released the car w/o it. The speakers should be here next week, and back it will go to have them replaced. Replacing the amp did correct the initial issue (static) which I had noticed, so fingers crossed I should be back in business soon. I do have to say this though; he is being really cool with the whole situation. Granted he isn't happy about it, he is owning up to it and making it right. As far as the tint job, he did an awesome job! Kinda crazy, but I would still recommend him. This was just an unfortunate accident.
