I just purchased a used 06 Audi A3 2.0T (6 speed automatic), and love it. As Im starting to learn about Audi, I have a question about how the car is currently performing.
During acceleration I hear a poomf sound during shifting that sounds like its coming from the muffler area of the car, I don't feel any shudder or thump (shifting is extremely smooth), it almost sounds like it might be a backfire, again from the muffler area.
This does not happen on all gears, and since Im not watching my dash while driving I don't know exactly what gear(s) its happening in, as sometimes I don't even hear the car shift. If I had to guess I would say either 2nd to 3rd or 3rd to 4th.
Is this something I should get checked out, or is this a normal sound I should expect coming from this car?
