tracking the average posts/load on KAWF version, even per account over a 6 month period to a 6 month period following the switchover.

I'd be curious as to the statistics. The reason I say this is because I'm a member on Rennlist and other vB sites for my car and my post total isn't more than about 1200 COMBINED.

That compared to my Audi owning days which lasted 3 years since 2000 where I have exponentially more posts. I've had my current car for 6 years now, so 275 total posts on Rennlist goes to show that the format isn't really condusive to the amount of interactivity between people as one would hope. Even old timers on there only have marginally large post counts less than 5,000. Granted, the demographic is a bit different.

I'm beating an old drum, but if you don't have people that really care about a place, your advertising revenue will fall forcing the powers that be to look for income sources somewhere else (well, the model that Rennlist has through membership $$$).

Anyways, I'd be really interested to see those statistics if you ever feel to post them.

Oh, and here's a pic for generating hits.

There are lots and lots of Turbos to be found though. When I got mine, the Turbos were just out so there was a 35K price differential. Hence I got a Turbo, without THE turbos.

I have 84K miles on my car now, and if you have specific questions (even questions pertaining to options, or "character inducing issues"), I can give you a decent amount of info. Since the ony difference is really the engine in the car. My M96 block versus the 70s GT1 block. Transmission/chassis are the same.

Here she is 2 weeks ago. Now I have fully adjustable coilovers on it as the only real mod. Bulletproof, despite what people say about the M96 engine. It's the most reliable car I've ever owned, and that includes an 86 Acura Integra.

Email me at forums at jyoteen dot com if you need to.

I understand your point. Obviously the folks at IB have thought about this and weighed their options and have made this decision. I am not in control of this anymore - IB owns the site and will have to live with the results.

I can live with my decisions over the years and feel grateful that we've had such a big impact.

just from an information/UI redesign angle.

stats on daily reach etc. Just look for the great big negative dip to see the date that vB was implemented.

but not on a recreational basis. Audizine, Thehulltruth and Audiforums all use vB. I use AudiWorld on a recreational basis and as my primary source for information.

I'm not about to post saying I'm leaving, but I am certain that my participation will diminish signficantly here. The vB format simply isn't easy to scan a page and participate where you're interested. I'm not about to open up every post to see what's going on.

My wife will be quite happy....my internet time will drop signficantly and I'll get more done around the house. It's been a great, fun and educational five or six years here, but the vB format requires too much work to spend time unless I really need something. I'll miss the daily interactions with some folks, but life moves on.
