My dealer is working a swap on a 991.8tqms which he says is in G status ( on ship). How long should I have to wait? About a month?
Also, since I will be getting the car in winter and don't have a garage, is the intial dealer wax treatment enough to protect the car until spring, or should I get it detailed soon? (live in DE)
What are the best winter mats and where are they available? What is the best treatment for leatherette?
Sorry so many questions at once.
Thanx

Re shipment this depends to me on how close you are to port of delivery. As I remember, for me took lesss than 3 weeks from when car got on boat until dealer had it in Pittsburgh. if you're out in North Ruptured Groundhog, Montana (or such), could take longer. In DE (Delawere?), you should be close to civilization; not much of delivery wait.
You're close to winter - feeling would be to wait a month following delivery, then get it waxed again. When you get it, car would probably be 1 month or less from manufacture date, paint is still at tail end of curing.

Leave the wax treatment alone for at least a month. I would also go by the weather in the area. If it's not too bad, leave it alone for a while but I would invest in a good car cover. The Audi winter mats looks superb. I just got them and will seem to do the job just fine.

My car came into port Sunday(10/10) in Houston, where I live, and my dealer doesn't have it yet. He thought it would be here Last Tuesday, but it's still sitting on the docks! He says you never know how long customs will take and then they just send the cars out to the world. Mine must have been the first one off the boat, and the last one to leave....
