one of these for my next company car, instead of the new S4.

Ford Taurus SHO--the legend lives again

SHO's are intersting for sure though, they've always had a very strong cult following.

That wheel looks like a blatant A5 s-line wheel rip-off too, heh.

Anyway, after sitting in the back seat of the new A4 and finding out that the leg room is just not there compared to the SHO, I decided that would be a better company car for me. I can't afford a S6 and the base A6 won't be near as fast and it will cost more than the SHO as well.

The harsh lights of McCormick place did little to hide the blemishes of this design. Interestingly, the 2010 Buick LaCrosse, in the same environment, has a pleasant design.

The Ford SHO is ill-proportioned and bloated. The 2010 Ford Fusion is a much more attractive design. Ford's interior design, for the vehicles exhibited at the Chicago auto show, to put it charitably, were cheap in both appearance and feel.

see it in person for myself.

As far as interiors go, I wouldn't' expect to see Ford as good as an Audi, otherwise Audi would be in be in big trouble.

Ford's interiors are cheap, both in appearance and tactile quality, compared to other vehicles within the same pricing point. For example, the Honda Accord and Hyundai Genesis have much better interiors. Even the Pontiac G8 has a much higher quality interior.

overall design wise. I've driven Audi's since 1984 and really like them more than any other car out there. Quattro sold me in 1984 and I haven't, personally, bought another car make since then.

Why do you think I still have the V8? Only full sized car every imported into US with MT and Quattro with two Torsens.

near an Audi, but for work it's fine.

Anyway, Audi interiors aren't what they used to be in my opinion. I look at my V8 and the new A8 and I like my V8 better. The door sills are much nicer. The headliner is nicer. The one thing I really like is that the bottom of the doors are carpeted, so if you kick them accidentally, while getting out, you don't scuff the material and leave shoe marks. I can't believe Audi doesn't continue this at least as an option.

Today's Audi's have too much plastic compared to the old one's.

Where's the vinyl roof? Where's the half spats on the rear fenders? Where are the red-line tires? Where's the gold trim package? And what about the Corinthian leather? This just isn't authentic enough - sorry!

Well, I'd buy a 1969 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500KR convertible but I don't have an extra couple of dollars laying around to buy one.

Like this one.
