The 335i has many tuners out there with mild to wild tunes. I suspect that the new S4 will eventually get some tune..but I would not expect it for at least a year. So..the S4 would have to be stock for 9 months or more. I have the Dinan Stg 2 tune on my 335..it is suppose to have 384 bhp and 421 torque at the crank. The new S4 will not have those numbers...not even close.

be it with lower times.

You will have a faster car for 9 months. Yay?

honest question.

The seven speed variant of S-tronic does not have launch control as a feature. I've read several references that state the 0 to 60 mph times are slightly slower than the 6MT because of an additional gearshift is required with S-tronic.

I have lots of 335i friends that have expressed desire for mods if I sell them.

Prolly faster than an M3 and way cheaper.

I assume your dealer is cool with the mods?

is a lil quicker than the manual.

It's slower because it a seven speed box and needs to shift into third to reach 60 mph. In actuality, it could be to reach 100 kph. Therefore, the gears are more closely spaced, with a longer seventh gear, than the six speed manual. The closer gear ratios allow for quicker in gear times.

at 4500 RPM which gives you a huge surge off the line.

The S-tronic is soft and doesn't allow you to launch with more than about 2000 RPM.

The S-tronic shifts so quickly that 3 DSG shifts are probably less time than 2 average human shifts.

At times my car goes really well. I wouldnt say I am impressed with the fall off in power when it is 100 degrees out..and I am on the track doing a 20 minute session.
