Actually, it's not a tax increase that Obama is proposing , it's the fact that Bush tax cuts are set to expire in '09 and '10, if new legislation doesn't come out, everyones taxes go to 2000 and 2003 year levels, for certain taxes. His proposal is to let the tax cuts expire for portion of income over$250K, leave the tax cuts in place for income between $200-$250K, and reduce the taxes on the portion of your income under $200K further than the current levels.

But really have an issue with redistribution. Far more than I hava an issue with higher taxes on higher income. Just keep the rev and pay down the debt.

If you notice now, you only pay SS tax up to 90 something K. 5500 or about that....so if you make 200k, plan on another 5500, and if you make 300k plan on another 11k....

and oh, if Obama plans on accomplishing half his promises, everyone's taxes will be going up.....

That said, once McCain chose Palin, I was done supporting him....

Until this election, she'd voted for every democratic candidate her entire life. She was raised by a hippie single mom and is about as liberal as you can get. She voted for McCain.

Basically the blue states provide money for the Red states already. If California actually got back as much money from the Feds, as they send out, our California budget would be in much better shape.
