It will be very difficult for me to buy any new Audi given these facts....despite my desire for the latest and greatest......

Maybe an A4 3.2 Sedan with 6MT if such is ever offered, but I'm not excited about that prospect...

I know it's marketing/business decision, BUT...
....No S4 or RS6 Avant = no Audi for me in about 2 years (i.e. new car time)

After waiting for a bigger S4 Avant, now Audi does not want to bring it here. What a load of horsecrap! First they did not bring the new Allroad .. and now they are going to stop bringing the S4 Avant ... crap . crap ... crap !!!1

Audi strategy has been crazy. Nobody wanted to buy the previous S4 Avant because they were so tiny. That's why I bought the A6 Avant - much bigger space.

Now that the S4 Avant has gotten SO MUCH bigger ... something that Americans want to have (a much bigger and more functional S4 Avant) .. and they are not bringing it in ??? Holy crap !!!!

Wrong strategy again!

It's like the wrong strategy of stopping the allroad from coming in here, when people where beginning to throw away their SUVs and buying cross-overs.

Hummer H3 cargo space = 55 cu.ft.
B6 S4 Avant = 59 cu.ft.

The problem with the 2008 A4/S4 driver's space was that my right knee and legs felt tight and uncomfortable. This year (2009) Audi did the right thing by not cramming the right leg part of the driver's seat.

I've never had a problem with trunk space of the A4/S4 Avant.

Look at the RS6 - originally Audi planned to sell about 800 in the US and they upped that number by 50% - another 400, and they were able to do it very quickly.

It's too bad the demand wasn't there for the S4 Avant in the B7. It's hard for AOA to justify a car they can't sell based on historical data.
