B8 S4 6MT Suzuka Gray/Black Titanium Package OR
B7 RS4 6MT Phantom Black/Black
That is primarily what i want in 2 years when im looking for a car. I know the RS4 will had it a can of whoop ass but do you think with minor mods (Pulley,Full Exhaust, Chip, Intake) the S4 will have 400HP?? TIA Pete.

A CPO RS4 will be cheaper to buy than a new B8 S4. They are selling anywhere in the 50k range with low miles right now, so the predicted 55-60k for the S4 will similar, but higher.
Also, the S4 will be a much better handling car than the RS4. The B8 chassis is significantly quicker in the twisties according to some A4 3.2 tests.
The S4 will get better gas mileage, and be within stones throw in straight line performance. I am hoping for a low 13 second 1/4 which is the slow range for RS4s.
The S4 will be the "NEW" model and therefore more desireable to some.
If you are one of the people who think the B8 is a step backwards in interior materials/design, then you will obviously favor the RS4.
A car is such a personal choice so it is impossible for us to help you. And since we have not seen or driven the B8 S4 to actually see how good it really is, it is only a paper comparison.
With that said, I would probably take the RS4. I love the look, fender flares, V8 engine, interior, everything about the car. I had a B7 A4, and loved it, so the RS4 would be amazing.
The B8 S4 borders on average, boring looks. The RS4 is aggressive, yet subtle. Just a fantastic car from every angle.
This is the two cars I am thinking of in about 4 years.

You can find a stasis modded one out there and it will be a screamer, not to mention 25k cheaper than the S4 with the mods you mention.....
All that said, if the S4 comes in an avant I'm going for it...otherwise the Q5 may be the next car for the wife....the Q7 is just too big for our needs right now.......
My modified A4 1.8t with 320 Hp is right on the bumper of the B7 S4, (at 142 MPH).
The new B8 will be something to consider with the 3.0 and a soon to add chip adding a little extra boost and timing.
BMW's 335i with a chip will beat them all though.
I gave up and bought an A6. Now you can all run circles around me as I listen to the stereo in luxury.

better weight balance, more torque throughout the range, lightning-fast DSG, and torque vectoring quattro.

have the motor infront of the front wheels. The new models push the motor back giving the car a more neutral turn in. I was impressed with the new S5.
