View Full Version : Will S4 have optional Audi Drive Select? Minimization 09-01-2008, 03:24 PM Meaning active steering and suspension? Not sure where Audi is going with their leasing rates. B8 S4 is definitely different from the B6 S4 that I had as well as the current 335i. I have enjoyed both cars very much. I usually don't like to buy another car of the same model unless there have been significant changes and improvements. Since I leased an IS 250 AWD for my wife, I really don't need a 4 dr awd car any more since I still have the Mountaineer for bad weather. But the S4 still intrigues me. Plus, if I do get one, I have reasons to stay on the forum other than just to piss off S445! bpp 09-04-2008, 12:47 PM huge difference in driveability with the A4 heads above all and much better balanced than my 'tricked' S4. I came away extremely impressed with the new A4/3.2L engine. AN extended test drive is a must to appreciate what the b8 can do. I had 2+ hours seat time under controlled road course conditions, accident avoidance, and autox fwiw. bpp 09-04-2008, 12:50 PM DrGP 09-04-2008, 07:05 PM Lots of show, not much go. Nice cruiser. Decent gas mileage. Will go in most weather conditions with the right tires. Doesn't make you smile when you drive it. bpp 09-05-2008, 01:14 AM "Doesn't make you smile when you drive it."...second to this too. The car felt 'wrong' immediately, seating position, visuals, switch gear placement...same feeling as the M-B C300. WHen I sit in any car I don't want my "eyes glazed over" for a simple drive to wherever. Audi does it right and sure I am biased, rightly so, and also why all other manufacturers use Audi as a benchmark in engineering and ergonomics. :o) bpp 09-05-2008, 01:16 AM RS7 09-05-2008, 08:22 AM meisterkleef 09-05-2008, 10:28 AM DrGP 09-05-2008, 03:41 PM DrGP 09-05-2008, 03:42 PM bpp 09-06-2008, 02:08 AM meisterkleef 09-08-2008, 08:13 AM bpp 09-09-2008, 02:17 AM |
