This election is tainted, plain and simple. My concerns and questions are in the link. I hope the BoD will discuss this at length, both this evening as well as this coming weekend and understand the multiple flaws and questions of conflict contained therein and decide the only outcome is to start the process over...

My complaint

If you beleive so, send comment to the ACNA BoD regarding such. Only after enough people go "whoa, this crap stinks" can they be convinced that people are watching and care that proper process is followed.
By myself I look like a radical. With a crowd, it looks like a movement.

I went to register and realized I still had an account.

Now if members make comments to the ACNA BoD, that will give the issue traction...

As a fellow member of the NAAC Board of Directors and ten year member of the ACNA I firmly stand behind efforts to get the ACNA to do what is right and honorable with regard to this election process. While not speaking for the Board of Directors of NAAC which would be inappropriate, I believe it is clear that the ACNA has been cavalier at the very least with regard to both the letter and spirit of the rules intended to promote fairness and transparency.
Unfortunately, I also believe the descriptions given in Peter's letter are typical of the behavior we have seen over the past several years. I have enough first hand knowledge of this behavior to make this call.
I also have personnal experience with regard to the cost of both standing up for what is right when in a minority, and the cost of ignoring what is wrong as a majority.
I urge all ACNA members to advocate and work to the best of your ability to change the direction and potentially the leadership of the ACNA in order to promote the fair play, openness, and the transparency required to bring the club to a standard that we can be proud of.

your perspective on the B of D's actions with regard to the election process.
This is just "sillyness." I can't believe adults act like this... It's JUST a car club after all; we're not solving world hunger. Most of us just want to have fun in association with like minded car enthusiasts. It's not going to change my life if the audi club ceases to exist. But, I won't tolerate impropriety in a club of which I'm a member. Put me on the list if money is needed for another lawsuit.

Jim,
I draw no pride from what I felt forced to do. I had made some private comments, but it was not until the ballot was published that I actually heard that members "in good standing" were excluded from the ballot.
Personally, I hold no allegiance to anyone on the current board, or anyone who's running for the board (both those that are on, or were excluded from) the ballot. Its the abuse of the process to get where we are that caused me to go out on the limb and "call it as I see it"...
I hope that if you agree with my contention that process was violated, to make comment to the ACNA BoD and encourage other members to do the same...
The ACNA BoD can call the election off and restart it such that *everyone* who submitted paperwork before Aug 15th has a fair shake at getting on the ballot and possibly elected. If National finds that impossible to do, then it is up to the membership to hold National accountable ....
