and they are avialable in the UK with good diesel options aswell. but....

I thought when the 156 came out that it would be the Alfa I'd trust and we nearly got a 156 Estate (Wagon) for Mrs C. Once we started considering them we started noticing them ---- on the hardshoulder waiting for a recovery truck! "You're not buying me one of those to drive the kids about in" So the 328 Touring became our choice.

For me the 159 needs to prove Alfa can make a car that I can be trust 24x7x365 for a few years. If it achieves this then, and only then, I might consider an Alfa.

PS - Clarkson's wrong on this occasion - he is however right about the GTI "its all things to all men"
