Looks like it's damn near impossible to get a CCP in state, or for out of state for that matter.
I have to visit MD a lot for medical care...doesn't look like I have a prayer for a permit. I loved it that 6 people were shot on tuesday night in Baltimore...I have to pick hotels that have patrolled grounds.
Any of you guys from MD have some insight?

but
better to be judged by 12 then carried by 6.
most cops i know wouldnt enter bmore city without a gun. most of the time i am in the city i'm drinking so i dont carry and have never had a problem.

yeah danos, i see what you're saying
my dad drives me to Hopkins...so far we've been there 7 times this year. probably another 5-7 times by the end of the year (might need an ICD/pacemaker). we haven't had a problem yet--except for being a cab where rival african drivers were yelling at each other in their languages and swinging a crow bar.
my dad's travelled all over the world for workand to some nasty places, so I sort of have my bodyguard--he knows when things are not good...that kind of thing.
i'd feel much more comfortable carrying at least in the car when traveling. generally though, i think its gang/drug violence. inner harbor seems at least in the day safe--lots of cops.
i like though, in PA, i can carry. even though i don't carry all the time, i like that i can choose to have a fighting chance. i should write Maryland atty. general why they let the thugs/convicts carry and law abiding citizens not.
at least i can have a big mag-lite in the car.

Either carry around a lot of money, or get assaulted a few times and file police reports...you'll then be <i>considered</I> for licensure. <smack>
PS - The P6 shoots nicely...I have a new main spring and short trigger on the way...might do different/adjustable sights next, we'll see.
