They have their own philosophy about the right way to clean a gun, and that philosophy pretty much means you have to use their kits, because every other kit has you do things that are against Otis' advice. I know how this sounds, but it's all in the interests of doing a good cleaning job and not harming the gun. Their kits come with a CD of short videos showing how to use the kit, and these videos are also on the website (although the website ones don't seem to have audio). On the other hand, I have no experience with their shotgun cleaning kit, but since you asked for suggestions, that's mine. Otis Gun Cleaning Rules The catalog is a bit confusing. Click on the catalog button, then pick one of the three main areas (Hunting, Law Enforcement, or Military), then click on the button for the cleaning systems and you'll get to a page with the shotgun kit on it. Shotguns barrels don't need to be "cleaned", just wiped down. bubba j 09-05-2008, 01:18 PM Hell. Maybe it's Otis brand. CC Rider 09-05-2008, 02:22 PM Otis stresses a breech-to-bore cleaning system that always starts at the breech and goes out the bore without reversing. No back and forth scrubbing. That's their big peeve. bubba j 09-05-2008, 02:46 PM Hass 09-05-2008, 03:02 PM TANMAN 09-05-2008, 08:35 PM The Crowns are front heavy, but handle really good. They get moving pretty good too.
