Middle: I dont know shiz about shotguns but that one is damn sweet. Looks like a c-more sight. Bottom: bushy dissy, ACE Socom modular, magpul ranger, larue riser, not sure of optic I'm definately missing some things but I'd love that rifle and shotgun to compliment the AR I've got. Should be pretty close. 1) Real AI .308 (likely due to the integrated muzzle brake) OR custom REM 700 w/ AI stock, Short action probably .308win, or smaller. 24" medium contour barrel; Harris bipod 6-9" non-Swivel model. Optic: Supersniper 10x or 16x 42mm (size & shape) with angle indicator (mount behind the rear optic support), Butler Creek caps. 2) Rem 870 12ga or Mossy, pistol grip, Vang Comp?? (or REM factory) porting, AR A2 F/R sights, ACE Socom modular stock, Forearm flashlight mount (No idea). 3) AR-15 A-3 clone (poss. Bushmaster/DMPS/Rock River, etc) 16" barrel mid length guards, Magpul MIAD grip,Magpul ranger plate on mag., GG&G MAD BIUS Rear, A2 Front w/bayonet lug, Optic Leupold Mark 4 1-3x14mm CQ/T w/Leupold optic mount (written on the mount) w/ Butler Creek caps, ACE Socom modular stock. Comp (no idea). Would love the chance to play w/ the AI!!! Never played with an SS scope before, but have seen them. Personally I'd go for an EOTech or an Aimpoint for the AR, especially for CQB... S4ucy 09-01-2008, 04:35 PM aka dissapator by Bushmaster RightonRed 09-01-2008, 04:39 PM Nice catch but i think we were both wrong, it's a 20" full system. Compare the barrel lengths between the shotgun and the AR, shotgun legal length in an 18.5" barrel, without a re-class to an AOW. Is there a reason why you'd run a full length gas on a 16"?? I've never had any problems with my standard length on my DPMS 16" AP4... S4ucy 09-01-2008, 07:05 PM ...reduces felt recoil and barrel rise as well as providing a longer sight radius (although that doesnt matter since he has an optic) ...others say it is too short to always cycle the gun well and increases failures. Just depends on who you listen to snoogins 09-01-2008, 08:29 PM snoogins 09-01-2008, 08:47 PM Remington 700 with Badger bolt knob, unknown barrel and brake, AICS 1.5 with 10 round mag, Harris 6-9 swiveling bi-pod with one of Terry Cross's pod-locs, unknown 20 MOA mount with anti-cant device, crappy SWFA/Tasco SS mounted in what is most likely Badger rings with what might be an angle/co sine indicator...If this is YOUR rifle, please put a better scope on it. Thermal 09-02-2008, 05:45 AM Casey 09-02-2008, 06:12 AM performs as well as my Leuy that cost 3 times as much. The optics are clear and bright, can walk in out to 1000 yards and back to 100 with no loss of zero. Hundreds of rounds in the Summer sun and below freezing temps. Only optics I prefer is the SA with BDC for .308 (not the M118). Take a Remington 700 VS short action, bed it in a decent stock, and properly mount the SS and you'll have a rifle that outperforms the capabilities of most shooters. You can debate.. "but it's a tasco".. all day long.. but then I'd tell ya "a 'Vette is just a Chevy" ;) snoogins 09-02-2008, 08:38 AM The 3 I had blew goats. They didn't perform well on the box test. The movement was mushy and vague. The glass was muddled and dark. By contrast, my 16x Ultra was outstanding. The glass was not quite what I wanted it to be, but the 140+ total minutes of elevation more than made up for it. That and it was completely bomb-proof, seemingly. I dropped my rifle on several occasions and it didn't even phase the Leupy. The SS isn't as robust, IMO. For a $300 scope, that's about all you get with the SS in either Tasco OR SWFA form. snoogins 09-02-2008, 08:40 AM Now the scope, well... green_vaccine 09-02-2008, 08:54 AM green_vaccine 09-02-2008, 08:56 AM but I could be wrong. Not a Mossy cause the safety is up on the back of the receiver on those. snoogins 09-02-2008, 11:04 AM snoogins 09-02-2008, 11:04 AM Thermal 09-02-2008, 01:59 PM bubba j 09-03-2008, 06:52 AM lol green_vaccine 09-03-2008, 11:22 AM and put on any number of rifles green_vaccine 09-05-2008, 11:51 AM is there any way to add that rail and front sight post to my 1300? |
