Just ordered a factory Winchester 18" barrel with Tru-Glo rifle sights, Knoxx 6-position pistol grip stock and single point Tactical sling.

I haven't been a fan of single point sling setups on the AR, but I imagine they'd work better on the M4 with its lighter weight than on a heavier weapon system like a shotgun. Any particular reason why you'd go single point over say a two-point sling? Are you going with a bungy style single point?

Ease of deployment out of my cruiser. If I need it, I need it in a hurry.

32" high rib trap barrel
double gold beads
adjustable comb and butt walnut stock

I'm just thinking of when bad guys jump over fences and stuff....

But you obviously have a better handle on your gear selection. I will say that I've deployed from multiple vehicles from HMMWV's,to my current stable of armored S600's, 745's and Land Cruisers and in both cases, and for ops where I have to kick doors, and get a guy on the ground and handle his detention, the two-point works better. First, when I deploy from the vehicle, the weapon isn't slung. It's in my hand with the sling out of the way. Once I'm out I can easily sling the shottie and get hands on the gun in the low ready. Once the door is down and I've got the jackpot or any other MAM's on the ground, slinging with the two point gives me more options to control the det without the gun getting in the way. For instance, I can sling the weapon behind me and it's completely stable and flat against my body. Similarly, when slung to the front, the weapon is cinched securely against my body (I use the Vickers or VTAC). With the bungy slings, the weapon is essentially dangling with lots of movement. Having used a single point from time to time (my back up sling is a single point mounted to my CIRAS and my M4 has a DD single point adapter), I've found that for doing stuff that requires hand manipulations, almost always one hand is dedicated to controlling the weapon system in order to ensure that it can quickly be brought back to bear on the target. Obviously, though, YMMV and if the single point works for your needs, I'm definitely not arguing against that. Good weapon system by the way - we have a few in the arsenal, though most of the operators tend to favor a pump action for better performance with a wider range of ammo.

and have you ever driven one of those armored S600s? I've always wondered how they handle with all that extra weight.

but it comes with a little more kick. I've honestly never fired a shotgun with more recoil than my 1300, shooters and Ranger friends concur.

I would recommend some 000 low recoil Remington rounds, so far those pattern the best and allow me rapid follow-ups.

Too bad you weren't in town this week, looked like all those local boys were having a blast just hangin out and collecting overtime.

On a side note: I had a Chinook, 2 Apaches and 4 Blackhawks fly over my house about 150 ft off the deck, that was ****ing terrifying. Also saw more armored Burbans with guns sticking out of every window than I ever cared to see in my life. LOL.
