this rifle to make a modern but old-style matched caliber set.

I wonder what the mark-up is on the side items (emergency blankets, magnesium fire starter, etc).

The case looks waterproof. Does it float with the gun (loaded) and all pieces inside?

what would you prefer for dealing with a grizzly, shotgun or an M4 w/30 rd mag?

I go back and forth over this in my head and with friends and we all have our own opinions. I think either would be sufficient, but I'd rather have the shotgun. Bigger piece of lead albeit at a lower velocity, I just don't know if 30 .223s would take down a grizzly fast enough.

It was definitely a holy **** moment. It was surprisingly accurate but it had an 8" barrel.

Serious reply:
My B.I.L. and I have had that discussion as well. I kind of lean towards 12g slugs. I'll take either over a handful of rocks though.

Most excellent. What's the difference between the "standard" and the "take down"?

Must the buyer supply a new SW .500 revolver or do those prices include everything?

Guides in the Alaskan out-back like lever action rifles, in BIG calibers for bear defense, that can easily break down and be packed efficiently. Lever actions are very reliable and compact. And with the benefit of being able to break down into a small package, they're a no-brainer for the wilderness.
