Has anyone here ever heard of delays associated with ordering exclusive exterior colors on new launch vehicles? I want a Q5 in a different color than the current American palette (which they have in the European palette), and I was told that it would delay my order until the 2010 model year. Any sales associates or dealerships have experience in this regard?

You can get special interior wood/ alum in color combinations for $1200.

The big reason, is that Audi is required to crash test Audi exclusive vehicles since the inside materials are different.
