Are you any of you over 6'2"?

Every vehicle is roomy if you are 5'7" but many buyers (like myself) have to carefully consider how well we physically fit in a vehicle--in addition to all the other criteria usually mentioned in car reviews. Having read dozens of reviews every year it is clear that many car magazine writers are under 6' tall because they almost never talk about how well a vehicle accommodates people who are tall, fat, or both.

Are any of you Q5 fans over 6'2"? How well does the Q5 accommodate your size? I happen to be relatively lean at 215# but are any of you 250lbs+ lbs? How well do you fit? Despite their exterior size, a surprising number of SUVs do not make enough room for tall or plus sized people.

My local dealer still does not have the Q5 yet; I'm still waiting to climb in and see how well I fit in the vehicle. Meanwhile, I'd like to hear from any of my tall friends and how well you fit in the Q5.

then sat in the back. Very tight, I might say. I know I am tall, but come on. I was even conservative with the seat adjustment. Sat in the VW Tiguan and was very impressed with the leg room front and back. The rear cargo space in the Q5 is larger than the Tiguan, but the Tiquan's rear seat can slide fore and aft. Just my two cents. Also, it seems as though I have more leg room in my S5 than the Q5. I'm going to road test the Q5 this upcoming week and give another review.

I'm 6'2" 225 lbs and can "sit behind myself" no problem.

Sure, I want my back seat passengers to be comfortable, but my comfort in the driver's seat comes first. If I put the front seat ALL the way back I want ALL the legroom in the world up front! Does the Q5 offer that?

One thing I have always liked about Audi is the variety of ways one can adjust the front seat: foward, backward, up, down, lumbar support, even the seat cusion tilts to and fro according to your taste. I trust this virtue is in the Q5 as well... Can anyone confirm (or burst my bubble)?

Are any of you familiar with the height site? It recommends cars for tall drivers. I wonder where the Q5 will eventually fit in their chart. The chart starts at 6'3" and goes up from there. Check it out:

Did you know that government safety regulations and manufacturers specifications only cover drivers 6ft3 and under. Without much help from them, taller drivers have to really shop around to find a safe and comfortable vehicle that can accommodate our larger bodies. Torso length, inseam and weight are unique for every tall driver...
