This is weird. According to Autonews article posted today the Q5 Hybrid is coming late 2010 after all to compete in the market. Last month they officially said the Q5 Hybrid is indefinitely on hold. This is good news, but it is WAY behind the curve. The Q5 should have been introduced to the US as a Hybrid model. Simply playing catch up with Lexus, or BMW is not a way for Audi to distinguish itself.

Similarly, Audi should be moving to offer alternative fuel vehicles. Do they have hydrogen fuel cell versions of their line up ready to go?

If I may be so bold as to speak for people in my generation, gasoline is in the autumn of its life; we do not want vehicles that run on gasoline! In 2009 it is very possible to make vehicles that run on something other than petrol.
