I'm trying to get her into something smaller like the Q5. But when is it coming out? I find no later than summer 2009, doing a search. Is this a usual Audi thing to come out with a 2009 vehicle halfway through 2009? She is interested, but needs to see one. And getting her to an autoshow is near impossible. I'll keep trying to stall....

I've heard Feb / March but if you wait until then and then decide to order it will take a very, very long time.

First appearance in the US is most likely the LA auto show next month. So perhaps you could check it out there and then pre-order if she'd likes it.

I'd say the Q7 competes with the MDX and X5. The Q5 competes rather with the X3 and RDX (well in terms of size).

For some reason she doesn't like the Acura...

so I got her a 2008 X5 that the dealership gave me as a loaner during a maintenance and she drove it for pretty much the whole weekend.. the results.. it looks nice, but at least the X5 3.0 has a very strange feedback and acceleration and it's very big, seats are confy though and she hated the transmission lever... so at the end she said thet would love to try the Q5 as a next car because the X3 looks very dated now, her X3 lease is up mid 09.
