Audi is demonstrating the 3.0TDI in several vehicles, including the Q5. This is excellent and point to a possible announcement in my estimation soon after official USA Q5 rollout.<ul><li><a href="http://www.automobilsport.com/audi-mileage-marathon-world-cleanest-diesel-in-endurance-test-us-tdi-low-emission---43924.html">http://www.automobilsport.com/audi-mileage-marathon-world-cleanest-diesel-in-endurance-test-us-tdi-low-emis

Does anyone here have a list of the cities that the tour will pass through?
I'm trying to get a list from inside AoA and will post it if I have any luck.

It seems that the urea injection system is needed only when there is a high load for the particular engine size.
Look at VW, they say the tiguan is too heavy to come with the 2.0TDI without urea injection and the car wasn't designed to have space for the extra tank so consequently there will be no tiguan TDI in the US.
I would think the 3.0 has enough power reserve to pull the A3/A4 without the need for urea injection.
