Premium Plus. Quartz Gray/Black. Very, very sweet. Coming from a B5 A4, I feel like George Jetson in this thing. Here's a list of first impressions: Likes, Dislikes and Comments on Common Forum Topics...
Likes:
- Beautiful lines - prettiest car I've ever owned
- Interior is immaculate - comfortable seats, plenty of room in the back seats, nice sight lines (except backing up), all controls easy to reach, fast blue tooth linking to iPhone, large rear storage area
- handles great
- very decent power - turbo lag imperceptible. Yeah I maybe could see wanting a V6, or 3.0 TDI, but not that often.
- S Gear on Tip nicely kicks response up half a notch. I'll probably never bother to shift manually.
- Rain sensing wipers.
- Rear window wiper
- Steering Wheel mounted controls.
- Handles great in the rain.
Dislikes:
- A little pricey. It seems like the Plus stuff could have been included at the Premium cost. On the other hand, I did but it.
- Headrest obscures my vision too much when I turn around to back into a tight space. I haven't yet figured out the workaround.
- At close to 40 grand, they should include cargo nets in the rear.
- iPod connector cables back ordered (shouldn't that ship with the car?)
- Wish I could have gotten B&O sound without full Prestige price tag. But the more I tweak the audio controls, the more acceptable it becomes.
- Giant Sun roof with cloth cover seems overly complex. Wish they offered it without a sunroof at all.
Comments on Forum Topics:
- Dash nipple - I thought it would be a little hard to reach, but not really. It seems to work fine. I do detect a little lag in response, but this seems better when using the Steering mounted controls instead.
- Wheel gap - Doesn't bother me a bit.
- Yellow shipping blocks pictured in wheel wells not being removed - There is something yellow in there, but I'm 99% certain that it's part of the suspension!
- Interior color - My last one was gray. This one is black and I'm never going back!
- Plastic Gas Door - I wish I didn't know that, but it looks and works fine.
- LED lights in front - So cool. Now that I have them, I probably would have been fine not getting them, but if I didn't have them I'd want them SO bad. (If that makes sense)
