If I go with the 2.0, I am having a difficult time deciding between "Premium" and "Premium Plus". Although I like almost all the options in the upgrade, this represents a $4,000 price difference.
Just thinking out loud, here it what I set the value at for each component:
- Xenon Lights $500
- 10 spoke wheels $300 (standard is also 17")
- Ipod interface $100? (I don't own an Ipod)
- Bluetooth $300
- 3 Zone Climate Control $300
- Autodimming mirror/compass $300
- Homelink $200
- Rain/Light Sensor $400
- Driver Information System $300
- Heated Front Seats $400
- 6 disc changer $150
- Chrome trim $300
Which comes to $3,550. So I guess this is close and may represent actual selling price differences after negotiation.
What does everyone else think? Did I miss anything?

It's 450 bucks. Just man up and buy the PP.

you could probably get the Premium with the sport package, and never miss the other stuff.

I bet the headlights alone would set you back $1000 if the A4 does not have the correct controller module (the VW guys have the Highline module issue that they deal with for certain options). The IPOD interface is at least $200 plus the labor to get someone to take the dash apart and put it back together.
Then again, I think that you overestimated homelink and the mirror.
What is the over/under on number of A4 Premium Sport Package combos? 500 in the USA? I would even say that 30% of the Premium Plus will arrive with the Sport Package.

- Xenon Lights w/ LEDs $750+
- 10 spoke wheels $0 (As you said standard is also 17" luckily Audi usually only charges when there is a size increase.)
- Ipod interface $290? (AMI is relatively expensive)
(P.S. you can see how much this option is indivdually by selecting Premium first.)
- Bluetooth $500 (Same as above.)
- 3 Zone Climate Control $500+ (The entire control system for the three zone is different)
- Autodimming mirror/compass $500 (Again...expensive.)
- Homelink $200
- Heated Front Seats $450
The remaining items are hard to judge a true price. (So I'll leave them alone.)
- Rain/Light Sensor $400
- Driver Information System $300
- 6 disc changer $150
- Chrome trim $300 (probably less since it replaces standard black trim.)
Now the total is at $4340+ making the Premium Plus at $4000 look like a bargain if you want those items.

Seems like the Premium Plus is a good value if you want those features and decide to spend the additional $4,000.
Personally, I keep going back and forth on this decision. A base Audi is really in a price class by itself, but once you hit $37K+ it forces me to compare it more closely with the other competitors.
The Audi Experience was nice because I had the chance to drive the BMW, Mercedes, and Lexus. I think the only other vehicle I need to check out before making my decision is the Cadillac CTS.
I wouldn't bother adding any of this stuff aftermarket, so I wanted to see what everyone else thought the "Premium Plus" package was worth to them.

I understand that Prestige shoppers are freaking out by the pricing when you include the high priced, most anticipated, new options but the reality is....
Those options weren't available at ANY PRICE prior to the B8.
If someone really wants them, they are going to pay for them.
Most prospective buyers, outside of AW, will not.
And the pricing of the PP holds the financial line quite well with a comperably equipped '08 B7.

I am looking at the Audi A4 or A5 S-line - is the MB worth looking at? Did you compare the A5 S-line vs. A4 S-line? I really like the A5, but beyond styling, is it worth the extra $5K+?
Most importantly, is the DriveSelect worth the money? Given you probably drove hard during the Audi Day, you can attest to its value.

LowOrbit,
The MB is not worth looking at if your priorities are AWD and handling. It is my understanding the 350 doesn't come with AWD, and while the 300 seemed nice enough, it certainly wasn't the best on the corners.
Ironically, I didn't really try driving the A4 with the DriveSelect off, although most reviews I have read have been positive.
No S-line cars were available for driving. I believe this is reserved for the pay program (about $600 and probably something worth doing if these are your target vehicles).
They did have an S-line A5 on display and a regular A5 available for driving. The only other Audi I drove other than the A4 was the TT.
