The window line is also way too generic: Nissan Maxima, Lexus LS, Hyundai Genesis, Jaguar XF. The current car could almost be an Alfa, except for the front overhang. And as an aside, anybody else ever notice that the 96-02 Camry channels the silhouette of the Alfa 164, right down to the slim taillamps? Stretch 98 08-09-2008, 06:28 AM ... the former TL is FWD and somewhat cramped inside. This new car is AWD with 305 hp and the interior is much improved. Stretch 98 08-09-2008, 06:29 AM Hokie_Audi 08-09-2008, 06:32 AM I've owned and loved three different Hondas in my life. They're great cars, but I don't get the impression that Acura really knows what they're doing in the sports/lux segment. The TLs I've seen have basically been Accords with access to a higher level of optioning. Not sufficiently quiet for a luxury car, etc. The new drivetrain sounds promising but the styling does nothing for me. Some cool gadgetry in it, even though it lacks some of the new stuff, such as the real time traffic. IMHO, it's perfect for my mother-in-law, who is a point A to point B person. For me, it lacks in a number of areas. It's heavy and feels quite lumbering compared to our B7. And there are too many of them on the road to be distinctive. Unfortunately, this new one looks hideous to me. And I can't imagine my mother-in-law trading hers in for this one based on looks alone. What an ugly car. The grille is awful, the swooping of the rear looks like it was ripped off of an Altima, and the rear looks like someone from Cadillac on crack designed it. Horrible. sjenner 08-09-2008, 09:51 AM OK car but ugly and not very much fun to drive. Cool gadgets and navigation system but thats about it. Still looks and feels way too much like an expensive Honda Accord. Acura is not even as nice or fun as Lexus or Infiniti so cant compete with Audi or BMW. If I had to buy a Japanese car it would be the Infiniti G37 coupe or upcoming NSX. But then would prefer Audi, BMW or Mercedes by far.
