pic from the front/side, ok

pic from the back, yuck

Am I the ONLY one that continues to view the snout as too long in relation to the rear? Little stubby rear with a long nose = yuck, imo.

That ratio works ok for a coupe...but horrible for a sedan.

And of course I still might buy one anyway :)

When I saw the B8 A4 in the flesh sitting next to a BMW 335i Sport sedan in an automotive study a couple of months back, one thing that struck me and others was that the A4 looked as if it was sitting higher off teh ground, even though the fender gap was comparable (the B8 looked as if it had the sport suspension). Upon closer inspecton, I noticed that the rocker panel on the Bimmer extends down farther toward the ground, giving the car a more planted look.

Hopefully the production S4 will have a different design for the rocker panel. The one in these pictures looks identical to the design used by the Maserati GranSport coupe. It looks good on the Maserati coupe, but I don't think it looks that good on a sedan. It also looks as if it would be prone to curb damage.

The design of the rocker panel has been problematic for Audi. The door blades on the B7 A4/S4 and C5 A6 never looked quite right to me.

the photo shows the car making a hard right turn at probably high speed. Suspension is compressed and body is leaning while the the tires are swept under the bodywork. Car is proabably a bit of a mule. would hold on judgement. They'll make it look good...

The only exterior bits that look like true S4 parts could be the side blades and the quad exhaust. Everything else looks like a regular A4. I'm sure it's only temporary as they test the car, and full S4 cladding will be revealed closer to launch.

What colours and materials do you all think would look good for the S4, I know its hard to make up your mind without seeing the finished product but if you use your imagination you can come up with a few things I think.

What Ive been thinking of for colours etc were:

#1.
White exterior
Bi-colour seats with the black outers and white inners with white stitching
Carbon fibre or Stainless Steel mesh inlays

#2.
Sprint blue exterior
White silk leather
Carbon fibre or Stainless Steel mesh inlays

#3.
Red exterior
Black leather
Aluminium inlays

I'm basing my decisions on some pictures of other Audis I have seen with these colours.

and the idea of a supercharger is a total turn OFF, I guess they are afraid of people putting BTs on it and getting 800 HP !

B5 S4 was the ultimate car at the time now they are starting to make cars for pseudo enthusiasts and soccer moms!

They too much like the A6 size. I wish Audi would have used the 108 inch wheel base from the A5 for the A4/S4 cars...
