I have an 06 B7 now in my 2nd year. Feels pretty reliable like driving a tank especially in snow storm.

My B5 A4 (2001) has also had window regulator failures. The parts are fairly cheap but the labor is not - the window regulators are frustratingly failure prone in all Audis it seems. Comes with the territory unfortunately.

You might get a better deal on an aftermarket warranty too, just to give you more options to consider. I absolutely love my car, warts and all and it still puts a smile on my face after 135,000 miles and going on seven years of ownership.

I'm on my 6th Audi, my last 2 (08 A5 and 07 A4 Avant) have been flawless. Past problems were a fuel pump on my 03 A4, AoA reimbursed me out of warranty. My 06 A4 had an issue with the check engine light, was out of service for 33 days (exhaust side of the engine was rebuilt)! I can't complain, however as I had a beautiful Q7 for that time. My first A4 had the power steering pump replaced twice. In summary, I love these cars, they have souls, and have saved my life on 2 occasions by keeping me out of accidents. BTW will soon be ordering a 09 Avant.

i'm at 135K mi or so. only major issue was tie rod bushings wearing out (covered by ext warranty).

it's been super-reliable - thanks to proper maintenance. and i'm an aggressive driver from time to time.

I haven't been to my dealer in years. When I stopped going, they were having Enterprise deliver some wheezing POS for me to drive. If that has changed, great. However, that wouldn't stop me from buying another Audi, but it's a minus. Dropping the free maintenance is another, but, still not a deal breaker. As long as they are able sell me a 4-cylinder quattro with MT, they will continue to get me in the door.
