View Full Version : Seems like there are a lot of only "kinda happy" customers. Glad I got a B7 2 months ago. scoobycarolan 04-22-2008, 05:27 AM Raistlin 04-22-2008, 05:30 AM Devius 04-22-2008, 06:13 AM Hokie_Audi 04-22-2008, 07:11 AM I like to hang on to my cars for a long period of time and I tend to upgrade once there's a compelling technological argument for doing so. The B8 is very pretty and the new 2.0T is pretty compelling, but not enough of an advance for me to have a car payment again. Once the TDI enters the picture that calculus will change. kerrydel1 04-22-2008, 09:58 AM We usually keep our cars for 6 years or so, that way we only have one car payment at a time. We stagger the new cars. Wife gets one, pays it off in 3 yrs, then I get one, pay it off the next 3 yrs. Repeat cycle. After 6 years, I'm DEFINITELY ready for something new. Fall '08 is my 'buying time'. I really don't want to wait another year to see what Audi MIGHT bring to the US. Kerry thrash 04-22-2008, 02:59 PM put a windshield banner across it that says "manual gearbox, dip****s", and park on the audi lot, glass facing towards the dealership. When they come to chase you off, just don't stall the car pulling away :) I think part of what is going on is the NA dealer network not asking for these cars. Hal_TT::CBP 04-22-2008, 05:33 PM has yet to pull me out of my S4. Waiting to see what the B8S4 brings otherwise if I can overcome the "prick" factor a M3/4 may have potential as a worthy successor. Hokie_Audi 04-22-2008, 07:28 PM Despite the Audisms there's nothing else out there that's tempted me in the segment. The news about the B8s came at about the right time for me to start planning my next vehicle purchase and happily it's a very attractive car that's grown enough to still meet my needs. I won't move until there's a TDI in the offering. |
