the new TTS and the new A4 2.0T have the same torque rating of 258lb-ft which got me thinking that the 211 hp quoted for the new engine is either rated low, or intentionally tweaked down for the A4.
Maybe some creative people at APR might be able to undo that down-grade and give us a 270hp A4, no?
However IIRC the TTS has an upgrade version of the old 2.0T whereas the B8 has the new hotness.

Wouldn't make much sense.
That's why when the info starting rolling in that the new 2.0TFSI was also going to be 258 lb-ft I was a little surprised.
I can't find the AudiWorld article on it right now, but here's a post paraphrasing.

http://forums.audiworld.com/tt2/msgs/22585.phtml</a

Sorry that I wasn't more clear. I can't imagine the TTS engine would be based on the old(er) 2.0T mechanicals.
not the completely new 2.0T that will be debuted in the B8 A4.
Albeit the TTS motor does appear to be heavily massaged.

http://www.audiworld.com/news/08/detroit-audi-tts/drivetrain/</a

The 350 newton meter number has been used many times by Audi. It's a transmission "limit"
I assume that the 258 lb-ft 2.0T should have some more torque than the 207 version.
