I'm another B7 owner trying to figure out lease end options.

I read on Edmunds that, when launched in the US, the 2.0L T will be available only with FWD and Quattro only with the 3.2L.

Is there confirmation of that or still speculation?

There has been no mention of DSG availability at launch. The 3.2 liter engine is not the same engine as what's in the B7. The B7 engine is actually a 3.1 liter V6 (3,133 cc or so), while the new V6 is about 3,197 cc in displacement and features FSI direct injection and valvelift technology. The new V6 produces 10 more hp and has a broader torque curve (but the same peak torque rating of 243 lb-ft). The 3.2 also get s 12% better fuel economy over the old V6.

The spec mentioned most for the 2.0T engine is 211 hp and a torque rating equal to or greater than the 3.2 V6.

it clearly says that Audi will show other powertrain options for the American A4 at a later time, and they may also be available at launch

I should either read AW OR watch the football game. I probably shouldn't be trying to do both at once.
