Some great pictures and a review of the new A4 in Car Magazine. Picked up a copy this week in Amsterdam, and found it online...

I have to admit, with the larger wheels the white car looks quite good!

...in performance AND price. That contradicts those who say the Audi 3.2 is meant to compete against the BMW 328i (325i nomenclature in the UK).

CAR Magazine: The A4 3.2 SE quattro has performance that, on paper, is virtually identical to BMW's 330i SE and there's only a few pounds in the price.

btw, the last time I checked, the 330i didn't have awd. I'll still take the 3.2 over the 330i any day....especially in the snow some of you got over the weekend!

fyi: major car rags have nothing to do with auto manufacturer's market strategies. The other day, I saw Top Gear compare a Porsche Cayenne against a skydiver....the skydiver won (with much less hp) ;)

Try making a point without an insulting comment. You'll get taken much more seriously.

I've apparently insulted one of our (delicate) Audi haters. Worse yet, he may not be taking me seriously.

Honestly Joe, I prepared myself just in case you weren't going to take me serioiusly. I seem to be taking it pretty well. OK, that leaves you the other 1000+ more serious posts to consider, but something tells me you're going to continue the same old tired arguments.

Sorry Joe, I get cranky, insulting and sarcastic when I'm tired.

criticize Audi = labeled an Audi hater

Ouch, you really know how to hurt a fella. Too bad you never visited my house because then you'd see my affinity towards the Ingolstat brand. Stepping into my garage, you'd first see an entire wall displaying 1 huge framed Auto Union art, 2 large framed Audi racing pictures and 1 rare Audi white racing flag. They're oak framed & quality pictures (none of that 2 cents junk sold at the mall). Walking down the long hallway of my house, you'd be flanked on both sides by a variety of framed vintage 1920's Audi auto artwork (available only in Germany). And while sitting on my couch in my living room, you'd see "A History of Progress" on my coffee table steering at you square in the face.

But go on thinking I'm an Audi hater, and that I couldn't possibly be someone who cares passionately about the brand. Go with the personal taunts & insults if you can't converse with me like an adult. Based on your two posts, anything but that in the future would be a disappointment.

Apology:rejected

Nice, an Audi shrine! Ya would've never guessed by your posts. Sounds like Audi broke your heart and ya just can't get over her ;-)

OK Joe-Joe, one more personal attack before I put you on my "Audi hating troll to ignore list": you have a p!ss poor sense of humor.

Ciao!

It must be wonderful to never criticize your favorite sports team, never criticize your government, never criticize your employer, never criticize your wife/girlfriend, etc.. Life must be wonderful in lollipop-perfect-non-analytical-thinking land.

You're an e-thug, pure and simple, all under the guise of calling others hating-trolls. Re-read this thread and then tell me who's the instigator here. You've followed the e-thug rulebook to a tee in this thread. The e-thug rulebook reads something like this:

1) Initiate a personal insult when none was directed upon you.
2) Taunt the other person, apologize, and then place the blame on being cranky/tired (related to #4: no spline).
3) Call the other person a troll simply because they disagree with you.
4) When the other person calls you out, dismiss the whole thread as a joke and claim the other person doesn't have a sense of humor, when in reality you were serious all along but don't have the spine to stand behind your words/convictions.

Audi is making several poor marketing decisons. Pure and simple. It's not hating. It's not trolling. It's called analytical thinking. Try it sometime. Get over yourself Peter........Oh, my mistake, I forgot, you're not reading my posts anymore.
