$2500 more than the previous entry level model. Am I reading this correct? You have to be kidding me.

Looking For Audi #7

Looks like the 3.0 TDI is designed just for me: I almost never rev my 3.0 B6 past 4500 rpm, I always skip over the HP spec to check out the torque curve of any new engine, and I highly value the flexibility to drive 500+ miles on a tank of fuel. 40+ mpg seems unbelievable for a 3650 lb sedan that will hit 60mph in 6 sec. I'm starting to map diesel stations in my neck of the woods. The ambition looks more well-rounded than the S-Line to me, since 17" wheels are as large as I will ever go. A few too many options than I can keep track of overall. Gorgeous car - Audi seems to have slightly lessened the size of the bass mouth front, or at least better integrated it. I swore when I first saw the B7 that I would never buy an Audi as in-your-face aggressively ugly as that, but the pix here are pretty nice. In addition to waiting for bass-mouth design to get disappeared, have also been waiting for longitudinal DSG; I loved the DSG in my wife's TT. May have to wait for Audi #8 to finally retire my left foot. Meanwhile have come out of retirement to rejoin the daily grind so I may be able to afford the B8 of my choice in a year or so. Based on the projected UK costs, the USA B8 3.0 TDI will top 50K USD if the $US continues to sag. Waiting to hear from someone who has tried the sport seats.
