I have a 2008 TT on order but since the release of the B8 info, I am completely torn now.
Things to consider:
1) I have had a B6 & B7 and loved both.
2) I've always said, I would get the B8 when it comes out but thats a whole year from now!
3) I think the TT is impractical but very stylish and exotic looking.
4) I have a $500 deposit on the TT and it's due to arrive October 22nd.
Do I:
1) Go through with the TT, then hop into a B8 once my TT lease is up (3 years)?
2) Wait an entire year (will have to use my parents cars when i need to) for the B8? If I do this, I would be saving quite a bit of $$ on Payments & Insurance but just not have the car I want.
Help me decide folks...

Once the lease is up it will be 2011. The B8 will have any 1st year kinks worked out by then and probably better options available.

Wait it out for the B8 ... in the process you will be savings $$$... and when you do need a car use your parents or rent one.
I have had an A4 as well... but always wanted a TT... heck for that matter there is a huge list of cars that I want... but the bottom line is that fits your budget and what you can get out of the car.
The TT with two seats becomes impractical for me... I tried the G35coupe ... it did work for a while but then needed something bigger.
So from a pure practical standpoint (at least for me) I will wait for the B8... the TT wouldn't serve me right!
Also, I have the C300/350 on my list as well... and I will be in the market for a 2nd car by early next year.

So you're getting fired one week and a raise the next. I'd say you're walking on shaky ground. And still thinking of a $40K+ car. *shakes head*

Were you on these boards back in 02 thru 04? That sig pic looks very familiar to me from back then....
I think we will always have buyers remorse, I ordered a leftover 2k7 B7 because of the good discount and awesome interest rate. Do I wish I got an 08, of course. But it was much more practical.

I have a lot of connections within the company (different departments). One, promised me a position a while ago that paid more than I make now and is in a group that is as safe as it gets in there. So after being layed off in one, I consulted in the other until my contact was able to get me aboard permanently. And here I am all of a sudden in a much better position.
The TT doesn't arrive until Oct. 22nd, so I will have some time to consider other things like the A5 or even B8 A4 but in all honesty, I'm leaning towards this as I'd like to try something new.

I think, you could stick with the TT and be really happy for the time you have it, and then get an A4, or possibly even S4 which should definitely be out by then.
Or just save the money and wait the year. Unless borrowing a car is very difficult.
I think you will be happy in the end no matter which way you go, it depends on how long you are prepared to wait, and if you are willing to put up with a bit of disconveniance (with borrowing a car).
The TTs a great car, and this new A4 looks great too, so its pretty much a win win situation either way if you look at the bright side of things.

I wish we'd get more power, but we can't win em all can we?
