I have been pretty good, after I got rid of my B6 I lost that car crazyness you get from owning an Audi. My wife and I only had 1 car for a while, since I take the train for work no need for two cars. My truck (05 Pathfinder) lease is up next August so the wife and I decided to look around, test drove the 328xi and wasn't impressed. She drove the B7 and loved it so we bought a leftover 07 for a great price and finance rate.

I said to myself no modding, no audiworld, nothing like that! Well that did not last long, about a day and I am already spending money!

Gladd to see a few folks fromt he past on here. Talk to you soon.

You still have the B6? Have you been on here since the old days or on and off again?

I haven't posted in this forum for years and its odd to see some old names right away. You won't remember me bcuz I primarily read the forum, only posting once in awhile. I see its still entertaining.

I was an early adopter on the 2.7T and that thing drove me crazy. The S4 and A4 were pretty much problem free the entire time I owned them. I know its not an audi thing, its a 1st year car thing mixed in with a few knucklehead dealers.

My 02 B6 was flawless(even tho I sold it at 11k miles).

My S4 was flawless. My A6 was bought back for a PAINT DEFECT. My next A6 was flawless. My B7, other than I had to replace the radio, has been flawless.

I think Audi has upped the ante as far as initial quality and reliability. But I wouldn't bet the farm on it.

yeah I've been around since the old days. Mostly in OT though, not in the B6 forums too much. What have you been up to? Got rid of the b6 and got a b7 huh? What did you have before the b7?

I got rid of the B6 either the end of 04 or early 05. Just got the B7 last month, I was (still have) driving around an 05 Pathfinder.

When I got rid of the B6 I stopped visiting AW. But now I am back and of course wanting to mod my car, this place makes you want to spend more money on your car.

why did you get rid of the B6? Did you get the B7 new or used?

Remember when you came with the other dude, I think his screen name was jmdp to VAG my car? Do you still talk to him?

I got rid of the B6 because it was a lease and my GF (my wife now) can't drive stick and the B6 was stick, so no real point keeping it.

We then dropped down to one car as we didn't need two, hence the leasing of the Pathfinder, perfect car/truck to have if you only have one.

One year left on Pathfinder lease so we decided to look now for another car and got a great deal on the B7. We puchased the B7 brand new (I really wanted to try and to CPO, but the wife wanted brand spanking new, and of course who would't want a brand new car? As long as you can live with the depreciation why not)

Yes, I still see jmdp, we are very close friends and he still has his Dolphin B6. I totally forgot that we VAG'd your car, geez that was long ago.

I bought a 12 pack, but like jmdp (Justin right??) said, I should have gotten a cold 2 pack and we could have had a few right there. Oh well.

Congrats on the marriage, I'm married now too, 3 years now. Where did you get your B7? DCH?

Tell J I said what's up. I remember he went to Rutgers like me, he's gotta be feelin' the Scarlet Knights right about now!

And that comment about the cold bear describes Justin (that is his name) perfectly.

I did get my B7 at DCH. And this January will be my 3 year anniversary.

How much over invoice did DCH hook you up with? Need a new car, currently weighing my options right now. I got the B6 from them, but I don't live very close to them anymore.

And I got 2.9% financing. My salesman was Leo Yam, he was very good and very pleasant. I am sure you could get an 08 for maybe $1500 under MSRP from him. Try a dealer by you and then try him and see if he can beat them.

when I took care of the spots on my hood instead of dealer having it wet sanded (I had a detail guy compound it out and it worked), they offered me nothing for saving them money. So I said what the hell, don't I at least get some rubber matts for saving you guys money? He said management said no, so I said I won't be doing business with DCH again and hung up.

All in all it was a great experience, but they should never have given me the car with those spots in the first place and they did nothing to make it right, except offer to have it wet sanded. There was no point to have their prep guy try and fix six he must have seen them when he prepped the car in the first place.
