View Full Version : Heresay: If a turbo 4 doesn't make it to the US Uncle Kraut 08-30-2007, 05:05 AM all the high altitude audi fans in CO, UT, CA, WA will be very dissapointed...will audi be dethrowned as the ultimate mountain car? crespo 08-30-2007, 06:20 AM The B7 in Germany gets both the 1.8T and the 2.0TFSI. Here in the Dominican Rep. we only get the 1.8T (supposedly due to poor gasoline regulation). The US only gets the 2.0T. I'd be willing to bet my left nut the 2.0T returns for B8 duty in the States. zerinS4 08-30-2007, 07:53 AM irenesbob 08-30-2007, 05:43 PM Just my 2 cents: there has been so much negative said on this board, in car mags, etc. about how rough idling and "noisy like a diesel" the direct injection 2.0T engine is. Maybe Audi does not want to tarnish the image of its newly more upscale A4 with that engine. Besides, the same rough, noisy engine is in the A3 and various VW's - maybe Audi does not want the newly upmarket A4 related to these cars for marketing and prestige reasons. Toxicity 08-30-2007, 06:05 PM the B8 better have the 2.0TFSI all those pictures of 1.8Ts is making me nervous. nirad 08-30-2007, 09:37 PM to offer turbo engines across the line. I can tell you from experience that my S4 V8 felt downright anemic compared to my old 2.7t when I went skiing in Utah. Mr. Head 08-31-2007, 04:06 AM |
