or does the new B8 look like its trying to copy bmw's shapes? it seemed like that to me when i saw the interior, and especially the rear of the car.

I like many aspects of the new styling, but I'm not feeling the BMW-ish taillights and the gauge cluster looks weird. Also there is a little too much silver trim in interior for my taste (has Audi forgotten how to do classy and understated?).

BUT, I really didn't care for the B6 styling when I first saw it and I really disliked the B7 at first.

Maybe I'll aquire a taste for it over time, but I'm not feeling it at the moment.
