Besides clearing codes, I assume you can also change all the same codes for hidden features like; windows down with remote, turn off seatbelt chime, auto door lock, etc?
And I also assume this will work with the current A3?

The option that comes with the palm III says "i don't have a pda and just want a scan tool". This does more than just scan for error codes, right?

Are there other pda options that run on regular batteries, or is the palm III the only option?

Where do you get your Palm III's. Are they refurbished? Bought off ebay? Other?

Sorry for all the questions. I'm in the market and definitely like the idea of this being small and portable, especially being a mac guy. I don't want to have to have a pc around just so I can run vag software. Oh, that reminds me... think there will ever be a version that works with the iphone??????? :D

VAD Mobile is much more that you basic code clearer. The list of functions and settings that you can access on you car is extensive, and hard to generalize in one post.

The current (2006 and 2007) A3's run on the CAN-Bus communication, and are only compatible with our VAD Pro diagnostic tool. (see www.vadpro.com)

With respect to you questions about the Palm III, I will contact you directly.

And finally, The Iphone is not compatible. It is not a Palm OS device.

It remains a priority for VAD to have a CAN-capable enthusiast version soon. We will be posting any news regarding this project at www.vadmobile.com.

You can perform these changes with both the VAD Mobile and VAD Pro products. Both products will work with an RS4, provided it is not a 2005 or newer model. In that instance, only the Pro can perform these functions.

For the newer RS4's, you may require access to a dealer login to change some of the basic functions.
