I needed a tire for the front of the GSX, and I'm a cheap ****, don't want to pay $100 and wont' go with an off-brand either. Not willing to buy used. Looked over the EBay offering pretty hard, slim pickings unless you just want to pay full price or, ahem, used.

I did the Amazon thing, kind of interesting, but no real deals. I ended up scanning the tires-unlimited site for the specials and closeouts.

There are a few 110/70-17 Michelins, as cheap as $39 but I really wanted to bump up to 120mm because of my size and the roads here. I also wanted a bit of tread, since I'll ride dirt roads too.

I called and asked, they were frindly and helpfull. It turns out they had a Avon Viper SS in my size, a perfect tire for me...$44 plus like $12 shipping. A friggin' $120 tire!

I figured I'd post this because it's kinda hard to tire shop and this place was really good.
