since they won't do a standalone motorcycle policy I had to transfer my auto too. They got me for +$300/year more then what I was paying through Geico for the auto. Overall, the savings on the bike more then make up for that.

so looks like the best deal was sucking up the increase in the car to get the great offsetting premium on the bike
getting ready to swap the car over to allstate which is cheaper than the bike for me now.
neither one offers a good combined offer so bike through progressive and car through allstate.

the bastards get you for everything
<center><img src="http://www.autokennzeichen.info/images/sais.gif"></center><p>we got those in germany.
tag is valid from the months imprinted on the tag which makes it legal to drive.
that way you only pay insurance for those months indicated on the tag. makes insurance for bikes and car sooooo much cheaper.

also if I rememember correctly it wasn't that big of a premium difference for me to have coverage for the full year or have the 3-4 months off.
I don't know if it's because I own my bike outright or because I'm an older bastad with a clean record(for now), but my insurance through them is DIRT CHEAP!

I own my bike too, 28 yrs old, and come to find out i have 1 ticker on my record from 09/06. State Farm said my rates will drop even more when I turn 29 in November.
It's funny how rates differ on whether you are married or not.

called an agent (Kevin) in the next town over and he will insure the bike alone. But, my policy would have to be transferred to his office. I told him of my situation and he called over to the office I've been dealing with. The office (Lynn) with my policy just called me back informing me that Lynn was on vacation and when she gets back they will see if she will make an exception to cover just my bike and if not it will be transferred to Kevin. Either way, looks like my car will be going back over to Geico.
