It has been a little over 5 weeks since my mishap and I had not moved the R6 from where a friend parked it for me in the garage the night I got home from the hospital.

Since then, I had cranked a few times to make sure that the battery was still charged.

Well today seemed to be a perfect day to prove to myself that I could still ride. I have been going to physical therapy for a week now and I felt that I had regain enough range of motion.

On Wednesday, I installed a pair of Powerstands Click and Roll levers. I hoped that they would help me manage the clutch.

I backed the bike out of the garage and fired it up. Cranked the first time. I originally planned to just ride around the block, but when I saw that I wasn't having any problems I decided to go further.

I wound up riding out to Tybee and then back towards town on the Islands Expressway (about 25 miles). I rolled back to the house with a big smile on my face!!

The best part is that I am able to use my gloves without any modifications!

Since this week the weather looks almost spring like, I think that I will ride to work a few days!!

I would have said **** it!! There is a guy around here that rides a HD and has something similar on his right arm. He knows two throttle positions, idle and wide ass open!!
