My first long ride. And it was looonnnggg! :) No not that bad. Excellent roads! I mean amazing! Started from Portland, went out around Mt. Hood. And then headed east for about another 150 miles. Went with a couple experienced riders from work. One guy has a Triumph 955i, the other guy has an Aprilla. They were killing me on the turns, I couldn't believe how fast they were going. I can't wait until I'm the experienced rider! Good times though!

as you've hopefully realised, make sure you ride at your own pace. If you can't keep with the others, don't try. Just concentrate on riding smooth, at your own pace. Me trying to keep up with my friend's 1000rr is one of the main factors that did me in and one of the many factors that caused me to take an off-road adventure at the begining of the month.

And I definitely was riding at my own pace. I was almost keeping up on the straights though! ;)

I've been checking my tires to see how far I'm getting down... NOWHERE near what I could be doing on the R6.
