i need tires soon for the VFR, i'm looking at Michelin Pilot Power 2CTs. Anyone have any experience with these tires? My roommate has regular Pilot Powers on his 1000rr and loves them, but i know i will burn through a set in no time with all the highway time i do. I'm looking for a good sport-touring tire, that can handle the highway and the backroads and still be good enough for the occasional rain. Tire sizes are: 120/70 17 and 180/55 17

did two runs down skyline drive, blue ridge parkway, and the dragon NB and SB. also did the cherohola skyway and all my other regular commuting with it.

i ran a dunlop d208 in the rear and it was worn down after 4646miles, i did however also ran that tire through the winter here in va so that might have added to the wear with the cold roads.

... I wouldnt suggest the 2CT's. They're more "track" oriented street tires and prob wouldn't benefit you much.

The regular Pilot Power's would be a good choice, or better yet, the Pilot Road tires. There was a review on the Pilot Road's recently and they performed great in the dry, wet, exceptional tire wear and still good for backroad riding.

Check out the Pilot Road 2's. Same 2CT tech as the PP 2CT's, but on their "Road" tire! Dude, this is the tire for you...<ul><li><a href="http://two-wheels.michelin.com/2w/front/affich.jsp?codeRubrique=2092004104045&amp;codePage=209 2004104045_13032007105938&amp;lang=EN">Clicky!</a></li></ul>

so i just called in my order of Bridgestone BT-021s to my local bike shop. The rear tire is simular to the Michelin in that it is a dual compound and the tire is a new design. It was down to these or or Pirelli Stradas. We'll see how they do.
